WE-71T is a premium quality wire with very similar performance and attributes as NSWE’s SF-1E.
In fact, WE-71T is near-identical to SF-1E. The differences are in its chemical composition and strengths, and offers one very notable benefit: This is a dual gas welding wire, that can be used with either 100% CO2 shielding gas or Argon/CO2 mixed shielding gas as classified, without sacrificing performance or weld quality. (SF-1E can be run on only CO2).
Classifications
Dual-Gas Ready: For maximum application flexibility, use with either 100%CO2 or Ar/CO2 mixed gas:
- 15-25% CO2/Argon Balance (AS/NZS ISO 14175 M21)
- 20-25% CO2/Argon Balance (AWS A5.20 M)
Local and global CO2 supply is vulnerable due to numerous and sometimes volatile market forces. Using dual gas welding wire to mitigate future CO2 shielding gas shortages is the smart choice. To help future-proof our customers’ businesses, Welding Engineers has worked closely with Nippon Steel Welding & Engineering Co. to develop a new seamless, copper coated, dual gas welding wire; WE-71T.
WE-71T has surprised our customers in trials with its exceptional welding range, it can be used at low amps on thin sheet steel with excellent results and is ideal for heavy structural welding at high amps. The seamless nature of WE-71T means it picks up very little hydrogen over time, ideal for welding damp or dirty steels, with minimal risk of porosity or hydrogen cracking weld defects. The consistently reliable high standard of Japanese manufacture makes this flux cored wire hard to beat for both performance and high productivity.
